Gamescom 2022: Dates, schedule, location and how to get tickets
All the key details on Gamescom 2022, coming to Cologne this summer.
It's nearly time for thousands of gamers and hundreds of exhibitors to cram into a ginormous conference centre in Cologne, because Gamescom 2022 is happening next week!
Gamescom is among the first of the big, public-facing gaming events to bring back its physical element. Over the last two years, Gamescom was an online-only affair due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but this year the real-life show is back with a bang.
With a handful of showcases promising big reveals, and heaps of demos due to be available on the show floor, this is shaping up to be a very exciting Gamescom indeed. Read on to learn all about it!
Gamescom 2022 dates
The main part of Gamescom 2022 will run from Tuesday 23rd August 2022 until Sunday 28th August 2022, the event's organisers have confirmed.
The official Gamescom website is live now and filled with information, with standard day ticket prices starting from 25€.
Gamescom 2022 schedule
The official schedule for Gamescom 2022 has now been confirmed, and there are a few key beats that you need to know about. We've included them all below along with links to watch where possible.
Tuesday 23rd August:
- Destiny 2 Showcase (5pm BST for remote-viewers in the UK, 6pm CEST for attendees in Germany)
- Gamescom Opening Night Live (7pm BST/6pm CEST)
Wednesday 24th August
- Trade Visitor & Media Day on-site (not open to the public)
- Future Games Show (7pm BST, 8pm CEST)
Thursday 25th August:
- Xbox Showcase (1pm BST, 2pm CEST)
- Gamescom Congress Conference on-site
- On-site Entertainment Area and Event Area open to the public, through until Sunday
Friday 26th August:
- Awesome Indies Showcase (4:30pm BST, 5:30pm CEST)

Gamescom 2022 location
The Gamescom 2022 location is Koelnmesse GmbH, an exhibition centre in Cologne, Germany.
To give you some context as to how massive this place is: the last time that Gamescom happened, it took up 218,000 sqm of exhibition space and welcomed 370,000 visitors on-site.
Gamescom 2022 tickets
Gamescom 2022 tickets are on sale now on the event's official website. Standard day tickets start from 25€ per day, but it's worth noting that the Saturday and Sunday are slightly more expensive than the Thursday and Friday.
